Be part of something remarkable As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Inpatient Medical Oncology Consults to:
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of oncology patients with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.
  • Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
  • Manage independent inpatient clinical practice and coverage for collaborating physicians as part of the inpatient oncology consult team.
  • Perform initial consult history and physical, develop, manage and modify treatment plans of patients with acute health problems.
  • Participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending or consulting team in order to adjust plans of care. At UW Health, you will have :

      If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
      If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program. Work Experience: Preferred - Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience. Licenses and Certifications:
      Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure If Nurse Practitioner*:
      • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
      • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Pediatric Acute Care and RN First Assist If Physician Assistant*:
        • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
