A successful Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician is a proactive problem-solver who ensures refrigeration systems' optimal performance and longevity. You meticulously perform preventative maintenance, promptly diagnose and repair malfunctions, and build strong relationships with clients through your expertise and clear communication.

  Responsibilities for the Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician:
  
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers, reach-in freezers, ice machines).
  • Inspect and test refrigeration system components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans) for proper operation.
  • Clean coils, lubricate moving parts, and replace air filters.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system malfunctions.
  • Identify and repair leaks, electrical problems, and mechanical issues.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance via service software.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems and solutions.
    
    Requirements of the Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician:
    
    • At least 1 year working with commercial systems.
    • Experience cleaning ice machines, condensers, and drains.
    • Experience installing basic parts for preventative measures.
    • Will assist with acquiring EPA Certification.
    • A solid understanding of how refrigeration systems and their parts work.
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and extremely tech-savvy.
    • Epass appliance service software experience/knowledge is a plus!
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Must own hand tools.
    • Ability to work well on your own and with others.
    • Skilled at finding and fixing problems quickly and efficiently.
    • A valid license with a clean driving history.
